Recipe

Our resident chef Vinnie, has shared another mouthwatering recipes below, and this one is Honey Glazed Pork Fillet.

A very underused cut that is now starting to get a bit more popular, Pork fillet (also known as Pork tenderloin) is a very quick and easy cut to cook. The meat is very low in fat, however perhaps not so much for this recipe as we are going Asian style!

Ingredients

  • 350gm Pork Fillet
  • 75ml Honey
  • 2tblsp Soy Sauce
  • 1tblsp Brown Sugar
  • 2tblsp Sesame Oil
  • 2tblsp Balsamic Vinegar
Method

  1. Preheat oven to 230c / Gas 8
  2. In a bowl, mix the honey, soy sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, and balsamic vinegar.
  3. Place the pork in a roasting pan, and roast 15 minutes in the preheated oven.
  4. Remove pork from oven, and baste with the honey sauce.
  5. Reduce oven temperature to 180c / Gas 4 , and continue roasting for 45 minutes, basting occasionally with the honey sauce.

Chefs Tips

If you like an extra kick in your Asian food then add 3 or 4 red chilies to the mix at point 2.
